Silleda, February 2023.- The Food Fair of the Atlantic, Salimat Abanca, will once again become in its 26th edition a meeting point and space for commercial exchange for the agri-food sector. It will take place from 8th to 11th June at the International Fair of Galicia ABANCA exhibition center.

The combination of an attractive exhibition area, effective Buyers Meetings Programme and a schedule of activities to promote the sectorial synergy  will be the builiding blocks of this event.

As for its exhibition area, it will continue to be an interesting showcase that will combine the presence of large-scale distribution with the quality, artisan, gourmet, organic and innovative product companies. The latter will also have a preferential place in Alinova, an exclusive area for new market launches that in the last edition showed 80 innovations of great originality.

The program of activities of Salimat Abanca 2023 will enhance the character of the event as a meeting place for the sector, through the sharing of knowledge, analysis and updating of food and gastronomic news. Thus, there will be demonstrations, presentations, showcookings with renowned chefs, a meeting of food bloggers, workshops and tastings, among other proposals.

The Buyers Meeting Program, an effective tool

At Salimat Abanca will once again play a key role in its Buyers Meetings Program,  which will be an effective tool to help companies participating in the show to open up new markets through meetings with a large number of distributors and importers with a real interest in the products on offer.

This program has already led to tens of thousands of meetings in which participating companies have been able to initiate or consolidate their internationalization or business development process at the national level, holding 1,300 meetings last year with 28 buyers from 17 countries.

Magnificent progress

The evolution of this event has been magnificent in all its aspects, both at the professional and at the final costumer level.

Thus, it obtained very good results in an event still very marked by the pandemic as was that of 2021 and in 2022 it held its largest edition, with 268 exhibitors that represented 9.3% more than its previous best figure, reached in 2019. The edition of 2022 it received more than 95,000 visitors.
